Forgives You Everything |\\ 001

There wasn’t a lot of time to make personal work in 2025. It may not seem like it, but it’s been one year since I worked on new Watererer music. Yes, we did put out a record this year, but it had been finished since Autumn 2024. And yes, there is a new Watererer LP nearly in the can, but aside from some periodic mixing and overdubbing, the last big push on it was December 2024 when I did a piano/Rhodes/B3 session with engineer Dave Hidek.

For those who haven’t lived the Watererer life, we began as a studio project in Fall 2019. We released eight LPs, one EP, and abandoned a whole record. When one record got about 90% finished, I’d start the next one. COVID times and the accompanying unemployed/deep reading time jumpstarting the idea machine. Lots of experiments, one after another. Most of them encouraging. And such wonderful people.

But now, I’m very much out of the loop of recording songs or even thinking about what a song is or can be.

As we are about to jump into 2026,
and as ideas are filing in,
and as I’m reading that ridiculously long McCartney 1974-1980 book,
I’m itching to write and record.
And itching to think about sharing it in a different way.

So, I’ll be posting reports of the progress here on the website. Audio scraps, mixes, photos, videos.
